Hello all,
I feel like getting something to add to my small stash and I'm looking for suggestions.
This should be the right features
- cheap
- good fit
- easy and quick to build
- easy paintscheme (non NMF)
- good general detail
- recessed panel lines.
Don't consider the following kits, which are in progress/finished/in building queue
Revell 1/72 F-22, F/A-18E, Me-262A, Hunter
Tamiya 1/72 P-47D Razorback and 1/48 F-16C and Zero
Hasegawa 1/48 Mustang "Hunsdon"
Hasegawa 1/72 F-16CJ, F-104S
Dragon/Cyberhobby/Aeromaster(?) He-162
Revell 1/144 A321 Lufthansa Retro and 738-800 Ryanair
Airfix 1/72 Spitfire PR.XIX
Thanks for any answer!

I don't know if it's in your price range, but Tamiya's 1/48 scale P-47 is a must have. Plenty of Non-NMF options to choose from.
Cheaper and easier to build from Tamiya could be their Bf 109E-3 and Bf 109E-4/7 kits. They have small amount of parts and good fit. Might be harder to find.

Hello James84,
try to get a Revell Hunter in 72nd scale! Should be
- cheap, also in Italy, should cost not more than 15 EUR
- easy to paint (most Hunters were painted in NATO standard camo like Italian Starfighters (dark green/brown/dull aluminium underside which requires no state of the art bmf)
- perfect fit: to me, there were not fitting issues (I am buidling one for the Camm-Paign campaign)
- lots of countries for marking to choose
Of course also a good Tamiya is always a good choice like Emre wrote. You cannot do anything wrong with them. Apart from the 109, I can also recommend their Fw-190 kits.
Don´t forget to tell us for what you have decided:-H !

Thanks!
Sebastian, the Hunter is already in my collection and I did like it! A kit of a similar quality could be great!
Well, as Emre said, the BF-109 might be a great choice as I'm missing one... though it might be difficult to find, the internet always helps!

I noticed Italeri has re-released their 1/72 Gripen with a very nice decal sheet! Any advice on this kit?
