Well I've done it, I've broken down and got out my 1/72 scale Hasegawa F-4E in the grey paint schemes characteristic of the eighties and nineties. I'm building a jet. How about that. Does anyone know if the Ferris experimental paint scheme was used on USAF aircraft or just USN aircraft? Just curious. I may improvise a bit on the colors for my own fun! Thanks, Russell

I think it was just USN aircraft - but the Luftwaffe had several cool experimental (and operational) paint schemes, and their F-4Fs are very similar to the USAF F-4Es

Thanks Vance, I may just play a little bit with the colors. Gunship grey and neutral grey are the two main colors on the F-4E I have. We'll see how things work out. Russell
