This is Eduard's great little kit of the Messerschmitt Me 262 B-1a, 1/144 scale is not a scale I work with very much but nice for a change of pace and for the challange of airbrushing such a small model.

The decals in this kit were very good and easy to work with, the downside is they were not researched very well, the W.Nr. for ''white S'' is NOT 110556, W.Nr. 110556 was used on a Me 262 A-1a.
Paints used on this model was Model Master enamels shot with my Iwata Revolution BR airbrush. The model was painted free handed except for the splinter pattern on the wings upppersurfaces which I masked.

Good job there. I thought 72 was small, the scale I normally work in! ha ha Russell

Thank you Russell!

This was a very good kit, most parts fit really good except for the canopy. I did dry fit the canopy before I painted the model but could not see the poor fit because the parts were so small.

Thanks Nick!

Sorry to hear your kit did not arrive, if it ever does you will really like it.

I am also building another Eduard kit, the 1/48 scale Bf 110E, and its a nice kit but there are a few fit problems with some of the larger parts and I find it amazing that Eduard can make near perfect fitting small scale kits like the Me 262B but with larger scales they mess up pretty bad.

Les,

Great job as always! Feels good to get into a different scale occasionally, huh?

Thank you Fred,

It felt good to work on a smaller scale than usual but it felt even better to get it finished! I was one sneeze away from losing some of the small parts.
