Well, the SPAD is delayed due to decal issues, so as I like to have more than one build going at a time, here is another one I started this morning.

I put together the basic cockpit bits and sprayed all the wood that will need wood graining with XF-59. I will use the ew technique I tried on the Albatros D.Va prop and see how it goes.
I still have more than 5 months to go to see how many of these wondeful WWI planes I can build. Hope I don't run out of kits before I run out of time...

Second update for today..

Got the fuselage buttoned up and the lower wings on. If anything, the fit of this RNAS Pup is better than the RFC Pup. Maybe the fuselage mouldings for the RNAS version are just a tad better somehow. Only needed a tiny bit of CA glue to fill a tiny seam in the upper deck of the fuselage.
Until tomorrow...

Hi Everyone.
Well, the Pup is painted and decalled.

I have put the rigging eyelets in place and now it is basically down to waiting for the decals to dry and then I will install the struts and top wing. Then comes the rigging then the fiddly bits assembly.
Till tomorrow..

You have gotten a lot done in a week. It takes me longer than that to clear off enough space just to open up a box. Love your Pup.

I agree 100%. She is a beauty.

How did you mix your PC10 (or 12)?

Thanks Carl and Dennis.
My PC10 is, and don't tell anyone else, Tamiya XF-62... or Gunze have about 4 different ones you can use. Add a little brown or whatever and you can get lots of different shades.
I got the rigging started today and the struts in place. One thing WNW don't tell you is to drill the holes in the struts you need before you put them in place. I think that is a bit of an over-sight on their part and would help the newbie with their rigging immensely.
Another tip is to paint everything before you install the eyelets as paint clogs them up very well if you are using a brush. They can be hard to clean out when they do get clogged.
Hopefully will get the upper wing on today and be almost finished this time tomorrow.
