Hi Jessie,

Glad you asked!

Look up at the upper right corner of the blue Aeroscale header and you'll see REVIEWS. Click it and it'll take you to (again upper right) ACTIONS WRITE YOUR OWN REVIEW

It will take you to the reviewing template. Fill it out and submit it. One of your friendly knowledgeable editors -- heck, or maybe even me -- will process it.

Oh, and take pictures. Send those in, too.

What format? Take a look at some of the reviews already written -- that's how I learned to do it.

Any questions, just as me, Merlin, Andy, or any of us. We'll be glad to help.

I see one small problem immediately. I can't find anywhere to put reviews of Daco/Skyline and Minicraft kits. They're not listed in the drop-din list...

Hi Jessie

If a manufacturer isn't listed, just enter the kits as "Other" from the drop-down list of vendors. If you can put details in the "Notes to editor" box, we'll chase down the logo etc. ready to publish the review.

Before I get started flinging my opinions all over the place, what's the consensus about reviewing kits that have been reviewed elsewhere? Especially those that have been quite well covered such as Minicraft's DC-8s or Daco's 737 series? Would articles on those kits be welcone, or would you rather see FRsin's Comets and similar not-well-publicised kits get their time in the limelight?

Hi Jessie,
All reviews are welcome, no matter how well covered they may be. Even if a kit has been reviewed on Aeroscale before, another opinion is always nice.

One tip I would offer is to write your review in word or notepad first and then copy and paste it into the submission. This way if you accidentally catch the "back" button you don't loose all you hard work typing it in the submission page.

I plan to do the Airfix DC-9, VC10, 737 and Trident (the only ones I have in the box at the moment). If you've got some I'm sure they'd be welcome. The more reviews the merrier

I've just submitted my review of Revell's Lockheed 1049 Constellation to the tender mercies of the editors. We'll see how it fares shortly...

And now a review of Revell's narrowbody Airbice plus Contrail's resin A-318 conversion. Since they're the same kit except for the fuselage, I combined reviews of the -319, -320 and -321 into one. Look at that: 4 reviews for the price of one
