Zvezda''s kit of the Tu-154 was widely anticipated when it was first announced, and greeted with cries of joy when it finally hit the shelves. This was the first accurate model of the Tu-154 to enter production by a mainstream manufacturer. Welsh''s kit was based on inaccurate drawings that were produced during the height of the Cold War, and the ОКБ-144 kit, while accurate, was neither widely available, nor easy to build. Zvezda solved these problems by issuing this kit of this very important aircraft.
