Gents, nearly finished the big Mustang teamed with Kagero's stunning Pacific Mustang decals which are really really nice. Really chuffed with how it is looking as my first serious bare metal subject .
feedback welcome
regards David

Great looking Mustang! Pacific bird at that. Really chuffed huh? I thought I spoke English. A really nice looking job which will look great when finished. Thanks for sharing it with us. Russell

Hi David,
Excellent indeed!
What paint did you use for the bare metal finish? I like the subtle post shading shading as well.

Salut Jean-Luc,
The finish is Alclad aluminium with vallejo grey to shade the panels, oil washes and varnish over the top. Wings have an overspray of diluted white to give a painted appearance.

although I'm slightly biaised, Kagero decals are simply superb....best AM decals out there..very very thin though so tend to curl up on themselves as soon as you slide them off the backing sheet ...unless you're prepared

That is fantastic....a superb realistic metal finish. I am quite seriously impressed. Love how you got it looking "in use" rather than the gleaming straight from the factory floor look.
