Hi

I started my xmas present a few months ago and wanted to start a thread going through the build. I've never taken pics through a build before and thought that this would be a good time to start.

This is my 3rd model since starting the hobby again after 20 years away and am more focused than ever to make this model with a great deal of detail as the Spit has got to be my all time favorite aircraft.

Everyone goes on about how great this kit is and i'm another person that is enjoying every minute of it so far.

I am using the full Eduard photoetch kits.

Hi Matt,
Looking good, I can't wait until I can start my kit so I'm a little bit jealous
Have you thought about the markings that you are going to finish the model in?

Same here and you know that "you just can't have too many Spitfires".

I'll be keeping an eye on this.

Thanks for the comments. As for the markings I'm not sure yet but when I get to the stage then I'll make my choice. If I keep it in the Jonnie Johnson scheme then I will be stencilling the markings rather than decaling as I hate using large decals, they just seem to cover far too much fine detail. I have my own stencils made so they cost me nothing so why not.

I'll post more pics soon as I'm just in the process of putting the looms and extra lines in the engine bay area.
