The Canadian Aviation Heritage Centre of which I have been a member for many years is currently building a replica of this aircraft called the "Scarabee".The original aircraft took part in the first ever air exposition in Canada in 1910 just a few miles down the road from my home.It was built with the intention of flying it for the 100th anniversary of this event.Unfortunately, that time frame was a little too ambitious.
There have been a few changes from the original airplane that were mandated by the government for flight safety reasons. The biggest change was the use of a modern Rotec engine.
I have personal experience with deadlines and government involvement because in the 1960's I was involved with my dad and a wonderful mentor of mine, Al Pow, in the rebuilding of a 1929 Travel Air 4000 (D4D).Actually we built everything from scratch except the fuselage longeron tubes and the undercarriage legs and wheel hubs.
Now on to the Bleriot...

Starting with this pic they will not be in any particular order.I am assuming that anyone familiar with this design will recognize the area being shown. In some cases the pics are of a Bleriot military version that for awhile was being built alongside the civilian version. Here again the same thing is true so I will not identify which is which in every pic.
All these pics are from my personal collection and are offered here for reference purposes for present and future 1:1 scale replica builders and scale modelers.

Note: the following pics are of high quality and are suitable detail magnification if required.
