Squadron Signal Publications have announced what looks to be a very interesting new book on the P-61 - just the ticket as a supplementary reference for the new GWH Black Widow.

thanks Rowan, I think this author has already published a similar title for Osprey...
The P-61 started out pretty inauspiciously, especially in Europe. I put up some coverage from the 422nd and the 425th NFS combat logs in Europe at the following links on my blog(s) having been intrigued by the story of a 422nd NFS P-61 flown by 2nd Lt. Lewis A. Gordon that was shot down by a KG 40 He 177 bomber on 14 August 1944!. I was in touch with Gordon's niece to produce the report at the second link below...
