In the mid 1960s, Boeing announced a new aircraft that would be larger than any other passenger jet before. it would have twin aisles and would be so large that it would need miltiple main landing gear legs to bear its weight. It would become the new premium airraft that all airlines would have to order if they were to maintain their prestige. Air Canada was one that did not refuse the call. Their new aircraft was delivered in February of 1971 and it became the flagship of the fleet, flying to exotic locations all over the globe.

CF-AST and sister ship CF-SST, what could have been Air Canada's premier aricraft throught the '70s.

Nice one Jess, they look as if they have just flown straight from the Thunderbirds set. Interesting placement of the engines.
All the best.

Too bad Boeing chickened out with their final design. I would have liked to have seen this one fly just for the cool factor.
