I'm working on a 1/48 Hurricane II C to be done in the markings of night intruder No. HL864, code LK ?. The underside is painted black but I was assuming the wheel well, struts, and gear door insides would most likely be the usual aluminum. Now I'm finding info that leads me to believe it was possible the wheel bay and the undercarriage parts could have also been painted black. I've searched the internet and my few references to verify this but have not found any conclusive proof. I'm hoping someone here might provide more information.
