Im building two Hasegawa F6F-5 Hellcats for a club project, both will be in Blue Angels markings. These mark my first aircraft kits in over ten years.



Also using a set of Fine Details tires and Blue Angels decals from Draw Decal.

Tires were removed from the runner and cleaned up, cockpits were assembled, painted and decaled.







Painted with Mr Color Green Zinc Chromate from their interior color set.

Engines were completed. Fire wall was painted Mr Color GZC, engine with Alclad Aluminium and the gearbox with a mix of Tamiya acrylic paints. Washed with Testors Scale Black.



Wings, fuselage and horizontal stabilizers assembled and ready for paint.

Propellers were painted with Model Master Semi Gloss Black, Mr Color Yellow and Gun Chrome.



Canopies were masked with Bare Metal Foil and then paint with Mr Color GZC and Midnight Blue.



The rest of the Hellcats painted with Mr Color Midnight Blue and cleared with Future floor wax, will decal and then spray another coat of Future.

Decaled and cleared again, going to give a light polish.
