Does anybody know which 1/72 F-22 Raptor kit is the most accurate?
The Fujimi kit looks awesome!, but a little steep.
The Academy kit may be the way to go, but I will take the hit on price for the sake of getting the most accurate kit. Also, don't want to fork over bucks on aftermarket stuff.
Thanks in advance.

I just got a hold of the Fujimi kit, and though its nice, there are some problems with it. So far, the Academy 72nd Raptor is edging out the Fujimi kit. I still have some more areas to compare, so more to come.
Unlike its 48h scale brother, the Academy F-22 vertical tails and nose are fine, though the rudder line needs to be lowered; not a hard task.
Note that the Revell kit is 3rd as far as accurate 72nd F-22s are concerned. All others need not apply!

Academy review Cybermodler
Revell review ARC
Fujumi review by tim hatton here
Check the sprues and make your own decision would be my advice.there will always be something wrong with every kit to someone. But now it wouldn't be modeling if everything were perfect. That would take the fun away and the need for aftermarket parts.

Wow! Didn't know the RoG kit was that bad. I was leaning toward the Fujimi kit, but now.......
Justin: Thanks for the links. Saw all those reviews, saw the sprues, its tough to tell with the given photos. We all know how different kits look in the box....... Also, Nobody has released pics of a built Fujimi kit. Hard to believe after all, the Fujimi kit has been out almost a year.

It's not "that bad"; just 3rd runner up to more accurate kits. It's still a good F-22 kit, but it wasn't designed from real drawings and there was not a lot of technical support/data provided for the ROG F-22 project.
All the top 3 72nd F-22 kits have accuracy issues; but currently (though could change with Fujimi) Academy is leading the pack.
I've also written my own reviews on the ROG and Academy F-22 kit (in both scales), which outline the pros and cons of each.

Everything I've read supports what viper is saying and you can get the academy kit cheap on evil bay
The revell kit is cheap and a good offering in it's price range it's kinda Like a Kia Lol

I personally would not spend that much on a 1/72 kit

Yes. Its kinda nuts..... I checked ebay and I can get one from Japan for about 55USD including shipping, but sounds like the Academy kit would be the way to go.
Wondering about the cockpit detail tho. I kinda hate to spend the money on a resin or PE replacement. It looked as if the Fujimi kit had a better cockpit.
