Can anyone suggest a way to reproduce the cargo net that protects the windows of trash haulers?
Here's some. I have various freight aircraft that would really benefit from this stuff being seen through the windows and I haven't really found a good way to represent it.

I would go with strips of tin foil paint as desired and you will be able to add the stitched look
And it will conform to what ever your draping it over

I see that Eduard do "cargo seat belts"

might be the thing?
Probably not what you want but these looked groovey too:

If I was going to scratch build it I'd go for masking tape. AIZU make it as thin as 0.4mm

Just as a suggestion, what about the net bags that fruit sometimes packed in ?.I was grocery shopping this morning and noticed that this stuff comes in either orange or green, plus it has the added bonus of being flexible enough to use on pallet loads.
Just an idea !

I wonder if you could iron that flat so it looks like the webbing belts, carefully, without coating the iron orange?

Perhaps you could use a cheap hair straightener? Or maybe fold the mesh inside a piece of waxed paper, then put in all in a pressing cloth?
