Greetings,
After building several Spitfires I decided to build a Tamiya Mk Ia.It's the first version of Spitfire which still carries the racing soul of the prototype.(as far as I know Spitfire was designed as a racing aircraft)
Kit is simply perfect. The only problem is its thick decals.
That's why I've bought Aeroscale's Decal Set for Spitfire Mk I (I dont remember the exact name of the set)
I used Modelmaster's RAF Colours (Dark Green, Dark Earth I assume
Have a nice weekend!
Berk
I think I lost my camera

That's not quite correct. The Spitfire was always a fighter, but much of its heritage and design philosophy (especially the engine) carried over from the S.4/5/6 series of Schnieder cup racing seaplanes. The racers were the Spitfire's "Grand Uncles" as it were.

Your Spitfire looks really good so far. I look forward to seeing it progress, as soon as you find where your camera's hiding

After applying Gloss Cote, I used aeromaster decals which are much thinner then Tamiya's.I think I couldn't manage to soften them enough.I applyed flat cote after the oil wash.I did not paint the exhausts yet.

I applied flat cote, and oils wash.

I used Wienerschnitzel technique at exhausts, I dipped them in Tamiya thin cement and covered them with baking powder, now they are soft and juicy inside and crispy outside .Then I applied Tamiya gun metal and washed them with burnt umber and flat black (oils)

In my opinion, you've done a wonderful job. For one of the smaller scales, it looks beautiful.
