Just finished this one for the Vac Attack campaign. Vac fuselage and outer wings, resin centre section/engines and cockpit, white metal landing gear. The decals were very fragile and the artwork didn't quite match the mouldings but otherwise it was a pretty straightforward build.

G-ALYP was the first production model Comet, and tragicaly was the last Comet 1 to crash. After its wreckage was fished up, de Havilland's engineers were able to reconstruct how it broke up, and the information they developed and shared from the investigation has made air travel immeasurably safer.

That's great work for a Vacform kit. I was watching a demonstration on working with vac kits and it scared me off I can tell you.

The white came out very strong as well, I'm still having trouble with that.

As vacs go, this one was very straightforward. There were only 6 major vac parts. All the 'difficult' bits were done in resin Densil likes to use the positive features of every medium, thus getting the most out of the model's component parts.

I use a flat white undercoat which helps to get the nice solid white colour.
