Hi folks, as you may remember I built the Beaufighter's that were posted by Mr Roo, I posted my intentions of another Beaufighter as a Mk IV. Now I have taken some photo's of a Mustang that a Collegue has built, based on the Tamiya 48 scale P 51D. This model was constructed on consignment for the RAAF at Point Cook, here in Victoria, Australia. Both my friend and I would Iike you feedback please. The aircraft is painted in the Alclad brand of paint. The decals are RedRoo Decals an Australian Company
The 5 photos are in the Members Gallery.
Thanks.

Chuck, thanks. They just made it there because I checked his gallery earlier...lol! He went me a PM about how best to post his pics and it looks like he figured it out.

Now, onto the Mustang. This isn't the Rivet Review Board so I won't comment on any discrepancies I see unless you want us to. The pics are a little dark so I used my super master jedi photoshop skills to brighten them up some to look at them.

Overall the plane looks pretty good. You can tell a lot of hard work went into it and there is some definite skill going on there. Is the red-white-blue on the prop spinner paint or decal? Either way it looks good, as does the green anti-glair paint demarcation lines. Good masking.

That's a very nice model. The prop spinner's especially nice, but I also like the shading on the panel lines...very subtle.

Hi Rob

You can tell your mate from me - lovely job!!!

Really great natural metal finish... that's a big hurdle I've GOT to tackle (one day :-) )!

It's great to see a Mustang in "different" plumage! :-)

All the best

Rowan
