OK not the real one but my 1/144 one.
Below in the photo we have six Revell F-14A's with the one at the bottom being ready for decals as one from the film Topgun in VF-84 markings, next are five which will all be finished in VF-111 'Sundowners' markings from the FCM decal sheet. The one at right of picture is the most advanced in light gull grey with detail started and pilots added, second from right in light ghost grey again with detail painting started and pilots. Top middle is in light gull grey no detail or pilots yet while on the left are two still in grey primer but will be in FS36495 grey. The markings will be a mix of low and high viz.
The Vf-111 Tomcats will be finished on a flying base which I'm painting in white with the stands in red.

Should have made this a blog but hay.
Canopies have started to be fitted and one pilot has even got his bone dome painted with a sun burst! Detailing now finished on two birds just need to touch in the canopies and the third is almost done, now waiting for the paint to arrive for the last two.

OK it's been a bit of time since the last up date and things have moved on in a big way most of the decals are on and weathering has started on two of the F-14's.
Four of the Tomcats still need slime lights while two need stencils and one still needs some of it's basic markings. Touch up of the tail sun burst is required on some as the decals would not conform completely to the tail fillet.
Thanks for looking and any comments

Vance if only, but then again that would be wrong as these are from their time on the USS Kitty Hawk and only the ghost grey one is from the USS Carl Vinson. The decals depict 1978 - 1991.
Thanks for looking

Looking great
The stand looks very similar to the FW190/Me262/Targets for P-47's stand.
Your invention?

Thanks guy's.
Nige the stand is an Airfix product which comes in black only, this one had a coat of white primer then Halfords gloss appliance white while the up rights received a coat of US Insignia Red.
The up rights are a little thick for 1/144 and I've been looking at ways to make my own, may be using clear stock, but that's for another project.
