Hello,
posting in hopes someone can help me track down some decals for the red painted and hopefully green DH88 in 1/72
I picked up an ancient bagged copy of the Airfix kit cheap and the decals were either missing or , as they are not called out in the instructions, never included.
I have the more recent black G-ACSP release from Airfix as well and this more modern release has decals, but just for the one version.
Is there a source for these decals and the third version, the green painted C-ACSR?
They are rough old kits, but I hope to include them in the timeline of powered flight in 1/72 I have hanging from my classroom ceiling.
Thanks for any leads.
Mike

Hi Mike, as Kenneth said, if you wait for the Airfix 2012 boxing, you can get the green one- probably cheaper than aftermarket decals.
For the red one, you could try emailing Ian at Heritage Aviation Models, who do a resin 1/72 kit- he may sell the decals separately.

Or, for an alternative scheme for the red one, you could do it in all-over silver, with roundels, for when it was tested by the RAF- these decals would be easier to find from spares, etc.

Outstanding!
I was a little surprised that Airfix had not done that already, but I will look out for the green boxing here this year.
The timeline of powered flight is a little thin at the early end, these will make a welcome addition.
