This is probably flogging a dead horse, but am starting the Cyberhobby 1/72 Meteor F1. No interior color references with this kit! I am guessing wheel bays/doors in aluminum, cockpit in Night, seat in grey-green? upper decking under the canopy behind the cockpit? Need help- want to get this right! Thanks!

Those were the colours I did my Tamiya kit in. I used dark grey to ease the "black hole" appearance. I chose dark grey for the rear decking.

I have the 1/48 Classic Airframes Meteor F.4 kit. Cockpit color is Flat Black/Grey. Use different shades of black or Grey by adding a drop or two of white. Try also to spray different sections with different shades for as Jessie says to reduce the "Black Hole" effect....

Early Meteors used the same type of plastic seat as the Spitfire, so you should be able to have a red seat, to give a bit of life to the cockpit. Harness was probably similar to the post-war Spitfire and wartime Tempest, and what's popularly known as the "Q" type, which had a parachute-style box; colour would still have been tan, though, not the post-war blue.

Thanks, Edgar and Mike! Hadn't thought about the seat being plastic like the Spit's...I think different shades of dark grey will break up the monochrome look and be more in scale for a 1/72 model. I appreciate the rapid feedback!
