While the 1/32 Lanacaster would be nice to build and detail....where would you put it when done? It would have an almost 3' wingspan......

You use it as a shelf to display your 1/72 Lancs on, of course.

You mean stolen Wingscale? As these are nothing but the kits from the molds that were basically stolen from them.
Here is some "light" reading on the subject.
Firstly the announcement from Martin at Wingscale about what happened:
http://forum.largescaleplanes.com/index.php?showtopic=33929&pid=313120&st=0entry313120 And where they are now....no longer Wingscale, but WingXL, with a whole slew of other 1/32 aircraft that they are bringing to market.
http://forum.largescaleplanes.com/index.php?showtopic=35296 IMHO, HK Models have some big brass ones for bringing these kits to market this way....basically a slap in the face.
Thanks!

Sorry, but I think you are WAY out of line here. Accusing someone of stealing is pretty serious, and you have no evidence to support this kind of accusation.
It's unfortunate that Martin has not told anyone the entire story, but one thing he has not said is that anyone stole anything, least of all this company. Until such time as Martin steps up and clears things up, no one will know. We don't have any evidence one way or another if Martin paid for anything. If he didn't, then whomever HK bought the molds from sold them legally and there should be no issue.
I suggest that, like Martin, you be happy that someone is bringing these kits to market. If you don't want to buy one, no one is forcing you to. Regardless, making ASSumptions and libelous accusations when you don't know the facts is out of line sir.

If I remember rightly Martin actually told everyone to buy these kits......

So both companies will have what appear to be excellent 1/32 scale aircraft coming out, with both releasing the B-25, though in different versions. I'm quite interested in the WingXL A-20 and B-26 as well. If only I was made of money.

There seems to be some new information available on the whole saga of these kits over on
Modeling Madness. As usual, there's more(and less) to the story than the rumours and accusations that have been flying around.
I offer no warranty that this is the truth, but I see no reason why Tom would lie, nor why Scott would publish such a lie.

OK! Now THAT was interesting info. Change subject from model kits to real estate, restaraunt chain, or solar panel factories and the story gets pretty familiar and frequent.

I stand corrected, and want to apologize to HK and the people on here about my comments.
When this all came about, we of course only saw the one side of the story from Martin, which I now see was spun in such a way as to make him look like the good guy in all of this, and a compelling spin he put on it, as he had me fooled (some would say that doesn't take much, but I digress)
I am man enough to admit when I am wrong, and until I saw both sides of the story it was compelling to think that Martin was blind sided and his hard work yanked out from under him, and clearly that is not the case.
So again I want to apologize to all.
Thanks!

There's an old saying: "Behind every great fortune is a great crime."
We can't ever know the truth about what went on here, and the truth may be waaaay more complicated than we're used to seeing portrayed in movies and on TV. I think we're better off assessing which kit/kits are worth their price, and proceeding accordingly.
I like Jessica's suggestion about using the 32 scale Lanc as a base for its braille scale cousins!
