Hello The question I want to build a ME-109 F6U Gallands bird in 1/32. The help I need is what after market Cockpit do I use for it? Will a late F4 work or do I use something Else. Also what else do you recommend for the kit?
Thank you
Danny

The only kit I know is 1/32 Hasegawa Bf 109F-6/U Galland Special #8214. That is the one I am using. Is there another or conversion? Cheers Danny

Well I was thinking that you could be doing one of the myriad 1/48 or 1/72 kits available so I wanted to be able to filter down the thousands of aftermarket items for you

The Hasegawa kit's got a pretty decent cockpit right out of the box, but if you want to go aftermarket, there's the Aires set on this page (look for item No. 2151). Eduard has an interior set in photoetch. Both of these are for an F-4, but I don't think there was very much difference besides Galland's famous cigar lighter.

Here's what Jochen Prien has to say about the F-6/U designation.

"..the Bf109F-6/U was a fantasy designation born at the unit level;concealed behind this designation was Bf109F-2,Werknummer 6750 which was retrofitted with two wing mounted MG FF/M cannon at Obstlt. Galland's request."

You should be fine with a set designed for an F-2.

Cheers
Steve
