Hi all. I was wondering has anybody got a good way of recreating realistic looking radar and computer screens ?? Im about to start Academys 1/48 F-14 tomcat and id like the radar screens to have that glass effect .. Any help or ideas would be great

Dave,
One method that works for me is to paint the area black then once dry paint again with Tamiya clear green then again once dry a coat or two of Klear / Future. Remember you are not looking for a bright green effect just a hint of green for a aircraft not powered up.

You don't HAVE to use citadel, the basic principles are the same what ever the colours you use. Having said that I do like the citadel range but that is mainly because there is no Vajallo stockist where I live. There Game Colour range is pretty much colour for colour with the GW paints and a few more besides.
I'm told they are better paints as well.

Sounds great, I would just add a little Future on top of it when dry.
