And this one is finished, its a B-day gift for a friend named Tigran (translated "Tiger").

oldie Monogram P-40.

Very nice. It's amusing that this old kit is still able to hold its own in the 21st Century against all the modern wunderkits. When Monogram got a kit right, they got it right.

yup - Trumpeter had the chance to knock the P-40B out of the park, but somehow managed to make something decidedly inferior to this old monogram kit.

Nicely done. Looks like you used the proper RAF underside color. I think your friend will be very happy with this model.

Monogram's old Curtiss is still considered to be the most accurate early P-40 out there, perhaps except for the tail, and definitely the cockpit. Too bad it is festooned with rivets (sand 'em down!), and the spinner parts have always been cranky for me.

Now that there is a restored P-40B flying,perhaps any model company making a new one will cease the effort until they can acquire some accurate shapes?
