I don't know if I missed something or not but SMER have released many Heller French Bomber kits in the recent past. SO instead of having to pay huge Ebay prices for all those ugly French bombers you couldn't afford to build when Heller produced them, SMER have released them all for under $15 a pop!! I always looked at those Heller kits but could not afford them when I was young (manymany moons ago) so now that I can afford them I ordered five different kits just to see if they are any good. I will report back when they finally get to me.
Cheers

The Leo 451 is supposed to be quite a good kit. I'll be interested on your verdict on them. Shame no one else has ever done modern toolings of French bombers as a lot of them were very peculiar looking. I've had a few smer stuff in the past (hurricane, I-153 Chaika, spitfire vc, fulmar) and they always had nicely printed decals. Far better than the heller originals. The I-153 even came with a set of resin snow-skids and bombs by Aires and an eduard PE set. And all for less than £5!

The Chaika is the only one I've had yet with these extras, but I believe their Feiseler Storch and Me-262 also have some.
I really must dig that one out and build it someday.

Well, the four kits I have have no extras, but the Breguet 693 has lots of flash and parts lose in the box. No plastic bags etc. But in total contrast, the three larger kits, Amiot, Bloch and Potez have no flash I can see on any of the parts, all the parts are in in plastic bags and the decals etc look marvellous. And at under $10 each are a huge bargain! Will be interesting to see how it all pans out re fit and decals etc but I will post a blog when I start building one.

Potez and Leo are OK, Amiot is a bit simple.

I'll be interested to see how they turn out. I had a look into their range and its a small series labeled Hi-Tech that come with PE and/or resin. Its only a handful of kits at the moment. Hannants have the Il-2, Me262 and Me262 Nightfighter from the Hi-Tech range in their Smer catalogue. But there are most probably better kits of those aircraft to choose from anyway.
Its the odd things they do that interest me!
