Here is my 1/48 scale Me 262 I recently finished, this model was built O.O.B. and painted with custom mixed colors mixed from Model Master enamel paints.
I could not stand to see another one of these Me 262s in prototype markings so I put my model in the markings of W.Nr.501322 ''black 7'' of KG(j)6. This aircraft started out as a standard Me 262A-1a and in the last weeks of the war had its nose swapped with one that had the large MK 214 cannon in it.

On to the pics...

Hi Les - another great looking model. We stock these kits in our E-shop and I was wondering how the kit stacks up. It certainly looks nice in the box but does it build nicely and whats the accuracy like?

thanks
Mike

Thank you Mike!

This is a really nice kit overall, the only small problem was many of the kit parts had a thin line of plastic that needed to be scraped away in order for the parts to fit together as they should.
I liked this kit so much I want buy more versions of these HobbyBoss Me 262s.

As always Les, your work is very good. I enjoyed the paint job on the nose especially. It is always nice to see new paint schemes on these birds when we all have built so many of them before. Russell

That's good Les, i'm glad they build up as well as they look!

If it's any help our E-shop is http://www.mjwmodels.co.uk/ not sure how our prices fare compared to retailers in the US but I suspect our postage might be a bit high for you but have a look anyway and let me know what you think - we have the other Me262's in stock.

thanks

Thank you Russell!

Mike,
Thanks for the information, I don't plan on buying any new kits in the near future since I have been out of work for a while now.

Hi Les

Stunning work as ever!

You really ought to submit your builds as Features - they'd be perfect for the front page.

All the best
