Yes it's look like a Roden kit...

The clear parts needs a lot of "ultra fine polishing compound" before future wash,

The engine back side is horrible at this days standars, but, nobody can see to much from in-there,

It has some flashing & sinks, but (ones again), nothing We ca not deal with...

Shape, and rivet counting... Well, I can not speak about that..

So, I hope to see some Fennecs in Argentinian Navy markings to built... (decals or boxing)

And, Yes, It's nice to see some trinners in 1/48...!!!

It looks like it could be pretty good, and I definitely approve of the price being almost £10 cheaper over here than the Traveller and Turbo Porter. It'll look great next to the SH Buckeye, so I reckon I'll be treating myself to one when I've saved up up a little cash.

I've discovered a glaring error in the painting instructions though. The international orange of the USMC scheme is specified as Olive Drab in all 4 paint ranges called out in the instructions. The correct paint should be Testors Model Master #2202 instead. There don't appear to be any direct equivalents for Humbrol, Lifecolour or Gunze although Hasegawa's instructions for the TA-4 in the same scheme recommends a 70/30 mix of Gunze H14 orange and 327 red. Equivalents for those colours could easily be mixed up. For example, Humbrol's equivalents are 18 and 153; Tamiya X-6 and XF-07.

France DID NOT build the t-28 under License, kits were developed and those were sent to France were the aircraft were modified.
Also as a former Marine crew chief of T-28 for 2 years, flaps down always otherwise you have to be a monkey to get on the wing to enter the A/C, also I never saw a T-28 parked with the dive brake deployed....in fact I only saw it deployed once and thats because I wanted to see it down. On the tarmac there is no reason for it to be deployed.It doesn't suffer from hydraulic bleed. Better Roden would have given a open pilots cargo hatch behind the dive flap at least that would have been more 'to life'.

A few other things, I see the Roden CW 1820 is a farce! It is lacking 2 very prominent things
1...Sump pump at the front of the engine at 6 o'clock (this is where the engine oil is drained when the aircraft is in for a check). 2...at 12 o'clock is the prop control mechanism. Both very noticeable on in any picture of the T-28
Don't bother replacing from Quickboost, they have made the same mistake.

Even Though Roden gives separate rudder etc., unless there is a pilot in the seat the flight controls were locked by a yoke that came up from the cockpit floor and attached to the stick. Pumping the top of rudder pedals 3-5 times engaged the a/c breaks and locked the rudder pedals in a neutral position so all movable flight controls are in neutral position. Even in a slight breeze with the rudder unlocked it would bang back and forth and the flight line Sr.NCO would be up your butt in a flash.

If any one is interested I can start a thread with some photo's and some insight.

Please let me chime in with a resounding yes! Providing more info would be great I'll even provide a new Roden Trojan T28 kit if it will help. Its a review kit that needs a home and some forum exposure.

In the interests of completeness, I must report that Roden moulded the speed brake to be deployed. If one wants to show it closed, one must cut off the mounting points and chisel away all the detail on the inside face of the brake. Then it needs to be sanded down considerably until it fits flush with the surrounding airframe surfaces. Luckily, Roden's plastic is soft enough that this is not too difficult.

I need the NAS Whiting Field VT-6 decals...Most of us did not fly in VT-2 or VT-27.
