Looking at the photos, it looks simply perfect.
I have the 48th scale one and the wing gun insert didn't fit at all, my bloody rush made me ruin a good amount of the panels, so I know it will seat in the box unbuild for years. Luckily I bought it in Japan and payed it much less than the price it is offered in Italy (€23 vs. €50).
It looks like the cockpit is engineered like the one on the 1/48 version.
I might as well get one... hoping that Tamiya includes pre-cut canopy masks!

This is an outstanding model kit on 72 scale. Details are very well done including the engraved panel lines and rivets over all the kit main parts.
