Hi Dave
Very nice! :-) I've yet to tackle a n/m aircraft... what did you use for the siver finish?
Looking forward to see more pics. Once all the decals are on and dry, are you going to weather things a bit ? Some washes would really make the panel lines pop out. :-)
All the best

Great job Dave.
So what else do you have the Elves working on? (:-) (++)
Or all a nice little plane for the show.
Speaking of shows are their any model shows in HK Dave?

Nice lookin' Dave. I like the contrast of the NMF and the blue.
I've got a 1/48 P-51 and a 1/32 P-47 that will be getting the same treatment. Fingers crossed.

Lord Lens:
Besides succesfully building the model, the decal application portion of this bird looks to be a challenge in of itself!
Once done, Da Sabre, along with "Da Phantom Menace", and "Da Raider", will be an impressive terrible trio.
Of all the modeling skills you have shown in the past, (including the horse, robot, Bismark dio), you seem to shine the most with the wingy thingy's.
Very very good looking effort here.

Beautiful finish, I don't see any construction issues at all in the pic. One thing, thoug, and I know this is really tough to correct, but it appears the carrier film still shows around the roundels and the checker stripe.

Geeze Dave that's one nice looking finish. I stay away from that shiny stuff as it's too hard to cover mistakes with paint!!!

Doesn't look like the box art at all
Don't you just hate that? You buy a kit because you love the way the box art looks and when you get home and assemble it, it looks nothing like the picture on the box!
Seriously, The Sabre looks great.
Wonderful work on the metal finish and the weathering looks fantastic. Very realistic.
You are a master of your art , Lord Dave. You have a special gift for aircraft
