I found this information on other forum but I think the more people know about this case the better. The kit got lost, most probaly stolen, on the last weekend contest in Hungary in Mossonmagyarovar. If you see it somewhere please contact the owner.

Well, I must say this is quite unusual, but it's a real shame also because the model looks very well executed.

I hope the model is returned to it's rightful owner. What sad day for the modeler. Too bad. Russell

Hi there
That really sucks! What a beautiful model!
@ Justin and Keith
I'm afraid it's just a modern problem; I suffered a similar loss back in the '90s when several of my models, including a Hawker Hurricane prototype scratch-conversion from the 1:48 Airfix kit, were stolen from the old Hannants shop in Colindale where they were on display.
On the off chance that whoever nicked them might happen to read this - I hope you looked after them!
All the best

A bit unusual but sadly there's no thing that can't be stolen.

I have seen this before and was able at the 2000 IPMS Nats to assist in the return of a snatched kit. But at the beginning of the show their entry purse was stolen at gun point. The group were linked to an employee of the hotel. Dallas Police were in top form that day. Even in our museum when we were at the Wings over the Rockies museum of Denver we had a priceless Ehrenbecker (govt awarded 1st victory cup) stolen from one of our locked display cases. Serious business these thieves.
