OzMods latest releases are repackagings of the 1/48 and 1/144 Caribou, and correction nacelles for the Italeri 1/72 C-130J Herc. Two other releases - 1/144 C-2A Greyhound conversion and 1/48 Vultee Vengeance correction - are due for release by September. A new 120 mm ANZAC figure - sculpted by Phil Walden - will also be released in the same time scale.

The 1/48 Caribou (vacs, resin, metal, decals) has been revised with decals for all five of the RAAF's "45 years service"/Retirement schemes, as well as one each for the USAF and Air America. Most of the production run was presold, and at the time of writing only a dozen kits remain.

The 1/144 Caribou (resin with metal and optional vac canopy) now comes with new screen printed decals: Covering the five aircraft for the RAAF "45 years service"/retirement scheme, and one each for the USAF and the Spanish Air Force.

The 1/72 C-130J nacelle correction pack (resin) for the Italeri kit comprises four nacelles, four spinners and 24 blades, and four vent doors - the pack also includes detailed instructions on stretching the Italeri kit to the long fuselage -30 model.

For release by the end of June is a C-2A Greyhound conversion for the Revell 1/144 Hawkeye kit. This comprises a clear injected fuselage, injected tailplane and cargo doors, and resin detail cockpit and aerials. Also included in this pack are screen printed decals for the US Navy VRC-30 Det 5.

Also due for release by the Queensland Model Hobbies Expo in early September is a total correction set for the 1/48 Vultee Vengeance. This resin pack comprises a completely corrected/reshaped fuselage (with side wall detail), reshaped nacelle with engine and propeller, fully detailed cockpit (with pilot's seat, panel, controls, nav/gunner's detailed compartment), detailed bomb bay with doors and bomb (with choice of US or RAF fins), various bulkheads, flattened main wheels ... and a few other bits and pieces. The parts are already in production, and waiting for build photos and instructions to be organised.

Hi Greg,

If you want to send me some pictures of these, I'll make nice big splashy news articles about each of them.

Hey there Greg. Huge fan of OzMods stuff.

One question, and I hope it won't sound too trite, but if you guys are going to all of that work with the Vengeance corrections, why not just produce your own kit of it? After reading the list of what your correction is providing, the only thing I can think of remaining are the wings from the AZ kit, and the canopy? Couldn't a full kit be made with just a couple more parts, and we could have a fully accurate, easy to build Vengeance out on the market?
