Hi - I wondered out of the various different types of Alcad which one/s were the best for British post war aluminium/chrome finishes? I am thinking of late mark Spitfires and early jets such as DH Vampire
Any advice appreciated!

My understanding was that post war RAF aircraft were more often than not painted in 'High Speed Silver' paint. so I'm not sure if any of the Alclad paints would e suitable. but I will be ready to corrected

Ok thanks Allen - meanwhile I have just discovered that the decal softener (Vallejo) I used this morning has marked the paint where I brushed it slightly over the decal - nightmare!

Well I have found out that Alclad Aluminium and Satin coat should do the trick so I will try that and see how it goes.
