I think that I like the shadowbox diorama most of all.Maybe it is the lighting which was very simple to do.A couple of Xmas 5W
bulbs placed just right overhead seems to have done the job.

Hi John

Great photos. But rather than you adding them one at a time in the Forum, if you send them to us, we can run them as a Feature among our museum collections. That puts them in content section where they'll reach the widest audience - and the photos will be stored without taking up your personal space (should you ever want to use it for other material), making them more future-proof.

All the best

Rowan

Anyone, what is this? I know it has British markings but what type is it?

Is the blue the correct color?

"nother pic" is the notation at least twice. Are you referring to the spitfire xvi?

I think that he's talking about the SPAD VII in RFC markings. The lighting in the museum makes the grey look blue. I'm kind of surprised that nobody answered his question for two years

John, this is a new thread for me. Your work is absolutely stunning, and certainly of the highest professional standards. Having one's work displayed publically at a museum is something that I think all of us would love to be able to do, but the reality is that for modelers like myself, my work isn't nearly at that level. Yours certainly is.

I've been to the CASM many times and I always check out your diaramas.

It is important for a museum to place it's artifacts in context. It is difficult in most aviation museums to do this. Your work helps to achieve this goal admirably.

The SPAD is indeed a SPAD VII, a nice little craft. Just beyond it is a Nieuport 10.

In the other photo is a Sopwith Snipe, an AVRO 504 and a twin engined AEG G.IV, the only one I the world.
