Oh wow, I think I am in love. With some aftermarket parts, that would be a definate kit that would climb almost to the top of my build queue. Hopefully Eduard, CMK, or Aires are readying their upgrades for this now. I want one!

Another dream come true! Why couldn't they have released this a few years ago when I had the time AND money to build it!? Crude Revell -- they taunt me so!

Just visited the Revell website.
Unfortunately, no more info is available as a fellow modeler expressed his concerns about the detailing of the model - based on these photos the wheel wells are a bit sparse and the scribing is extremely petite if not missing. So, a question to the He 219 experts and revell insiders - is this just a test shot model to check the overall dimensions, form and fit or that's what will be in the box?
Don't mean to start the old discussion about judging a model solely on few photos but remembering the test shots of Ju-88, BAe Hawk, this one looks like a step backwards for revell in 1/32.

I am hoping for a quick release of aftermarket parts, I find that most plastic molds, even the best can't beat the detail that PE and resin adds.

It is only the first testshot.
Usually testshots are just to test the tools if they really work and parts can easily be drawn out. Then it is about the general fit of parts and corrections if nesessary. In most cases not all details are applied, so a bit more can be expected for the next generation of testshosts. It should be stated that the Revell kit is clearly the best 219 up to now. The retail price will be very attractive and due to this the ZM kit will be no real competitor.

Hi Andreas,
I would love to provide more details about the kit but this was all what I found on the Revell website. Number of parts, price, box content - this is still a mystery for me as Revell didn't reveal this information in the official way yet. The same refers to Lynx kit.
