I have finally reached the point with this diorama where adding even one more thing to it would probably be a mistake. Ya gotta know when enough is enough. Not that I don't have anything more that I could add but if I did it would just look cluttered.I have some left over figures, engines, lots of junk yard stuff, even a Wright brothers 1/16th scale engine.I am not planning anymore 1/16th stuff right now but of course that could always change down the road,so I will store it all for now.
Next up will be the G scale "Once Upon a Time In The West"RR piece to finish, then the peregrine falcon sculpture to finish as well and then I will begin "Wild Bills " 1/10th scale old west stage coach.

I hot glued the tree on to a piece of board and hung the swing to a limb.Later I will re-melt the glue and then put the whole assembly permanently into the diorama.

This dio has been made to be easily taken apart by simply sliding the modules into position.

John,

At the risk of being effusive, superb!

So many elements for any modeling genre: buildings, airplanes, vehicles, scenery, weathering... a brilliant job!

Thanks JPTRR ! That's the great thing about dioramas they encompass all genres of modeling. Then when you add a story they come alive.
I have for a long time been trying to get more of the WW1 aircraft guys on board but its been a tough sell.
Way back when Shep Paine started to popularize the modern diorama it seems ironic now that he became well known in the modeling community with his aircraft dioramas that he did for Monogram. They were initially very well received but that soon fizzled out so he went back to armor.
Thank God for the armor guys for keeping it alive over the long haul or most modelers would still be thinking that dioramas were a nice base to put your models on.
