Hello all,
I am painting the Eduard 1/72 F6F3 Hellcat Dark Sea Blue and it occurred to me that it may be difficult to use a pin wash with such a dark basic color. Do you have any ideas for filters and washes on such a dark color, or is it not even necessary?
Thanks!

You could try a lighter colour instead. Navy aircraft get pretty salt-stained, and some of the salt can stay in the panel lines.
Look at this build to see the effects of a light wash. In particular, note the photos midway down page 8 (but treat yourself to viewing the entire thread; it's spectacular).

Thanks Jessie! What an amazing project. Has this fellow done any more builds since?
