One of Hasegawa's special versions, this boxing provides a glimpse into the little known world of flight testing. In 1946, a P-51 was fitted with experimental ramjets to prove that ramjet propulsion was advanced enough to power an aircraft. The tests were successful enough to allow development to continue to full-sized engines.
Jessica Cooper reviews Hasegawa''s 1/48 flight test Mustang with ramjets.
