Here's an oldie of mine, the 1/72 L/S Yokosuka D4Y Suisei (彗星 "Comet"), codename "Judy". It is painted with good ol' Polly S IJN Green and Pactra International IJN gray.


My model history shows it cost me $1.50 and I built her from April 5-15, 1980. She was my 105th model since I started keeping records on 10 Aug., 1975.

nice work again, i see alittle bit of lift on the closest decal? will you be able to fix it to avaoid any accidents with it?

Hi Les,

Thanks for the compliment and heads-up. The hinomarus are painted on. LS originally molded the circles for the hinomarus into the surfaces,as was the fashion of the day; I guess what we see is the lip of the recessed line.
