After a lot of research and some expert advice, I completed a Typhoon.
This is a pre D-Day, mid-modified, early aircraft. It has the wooden aerial under and through the canopy deleted, a whip aerial installed on the upper fuselage spine, unshrouded exhaust stacks, and removal of the Typhoon black/ white underwing striping (not D-Day stripes).
It represents a 245 Squadron aircraft, FEB-MAR 1944, involved with fighter escort and V-1 'No-Ball' dive bombing missions. JP798 MR*S was lost on take-off, 24 MAR 44.
1/48 Hasegawa Typhoon Mk. 1B, released 1998.

Thanks for looking Siderius and Middle_Franc.
I used Tamiya RAF colors. I think they were released for a recent Tamiya 1/32 Spitfire (?) but they are perfect for the standard Ocean Gray/ Dark Green over Medium Sea Gray.
XF-81 Dark Green 2 (RAF)
XF-82 Ocean Gray 2 (RAF)
XF-83 Medium Sea Gray 2 (RAF)
Tail band and spinner are again Tamiya, XF-21 Sky.
This was actually my first attempt at freehand airbrushing of the topside camouflage after painting and masking off the bottom color. Rough doing it but I'm happy with the result.
