I am trying to collect information to build a diorama of von Richtofen, his dog, and another officer with a Dr.I in the background. I'd like to do this in 1/72, although 1/48 would be nice.

Eduard used to have a set, titled Der Rote Flieger, but this is no longer in production, nor is it for sale anywhere, so I have to branch out a bit.

Besides which, the photo I'm basing this on shows vR in a bulky flight suit, not a simple leather jacket.

Could anyone help out with my quest? Any suggestions would be welcome.

thank you

Max

Figures thread

Possibly the Preiser WWII German luftwaffe figures. I have seen them modified successfully in the past. They come in 1:72 & 1:48.

Thank you for the link. I would like to be able to find an appropriate dog figure, although do you think that a deer in HO scale could be modified accordingly?
