Can anyone tell me what color the inside of the landing gear doors were on the Tuskegee P-51's? Were they red like the outside, or bare aluminum, od green.....?
And what material were the shrouds made of on the P-51D's with shrouded exhaust? ( Need to know what color to paint them! )

Hi Tim,
P-51D main gear doors tended to be unpainted, while the door over the tires were yellow zinc chromate with an unpainted middle section (I don't know why).
