I thought this was a fantastic idea. I'm surprised by the lack of response.
Right on the back of both the Viet Nam and Afghanistan Campaigns, but also could appeal to Desert Storm and OIF modelers too. Subjects from Russia in Afghanistan, US in Somalia or even Panama or Grenada.
There's a lot to think about here. Thanks for the good idea!

You can count me in but it will need to be next year, as I'm in the process of moving house. I also need to find the conversion parts and decals to turn a Monagram 1/48 Mi-24D into a Mi-24VP of the Russian Navy.

Hey I just happened to have a 1/35 Academy "Wiskey" Cobra in my stash that would fall into this Campaign quite nicely

During building the Cobra for the 1/48th Campaign I went on a Heli buying frenzy so let me see what I picked up. All are in 1/72 range of scale.
Hey, I gotta build 'em sometime... right?

Hello Jon, I would be up for joining this campaign. I normally build over on armorama, but will jump at a chance to to build a helicomputer. I was a helicopter mechanic while in the army and my dad was one before me, so I have a long love for anything with rotors on it. I plan to build the OH-58D KW that I worked on, gives me a an opportunity to build italeri's new 58d.

Oh, well when I was building the 1/48th Cobra I fell in love with one on eBay in that scale... and it was a bit much out of my pay scale.
So then I noticed 1/72 has a lot to offer and wasn't an arm and a leg PLUS, they were small enough to collect more to fit on my shelf so I went for 'em!
Never got anything in 1/48th to sit next to the AURORA Cobra but oh well. Would love to get a Cheyenne 'Copter.

But, big bucks there too.
So, I'll get
something if I don't have a gunship on the shelf.

I'm also in the Ancient Arfix Campaign too so pretty neat some wingy builds coming up!

I started with 1/35th and was starting to get burned out, cause it would take so long. And i do agree they do cost a small fortune now a days. I only have a couple left in 1/35th the rest are 1/48th they build so much quicker and easier
