Hello

My first post here
I'm mostly afv and figure modeller, but recently I wanted to make something different. So, here it is - plane building topis from person that have no idea how to biuld planes

I have eduard's 1/48 Bf109 E-1 profi-pack and aber's gun barrels. Since I didn't like the markings found in the box, I picked up the 30th issue of Kagero MiniTopcolors series entitled 'Luftwaffe's Baptism of Fire' immediatelly after noting the green Emil with running fox on the engine cowl on the cover (this fox is looking alike my own dog ) The booklet includes great colour profiles of 8 planes (3xBf 109 E-1, 1xBf 109 E-3, 1xBf 109 D-1, 1xBf 110 C-2, 1xJu 87 B-1 and 1xHe 111 P-2) and 2 decal sheets with their markings in 3 scales (except the He 111 P, which is in 1:72 & 1:32 only). In most cases these are only individual markings, but there are also national markings for 2 machines from Legion Condor and swastikas for the He 111. Decals were done by Cartograf, so I shouldn't have any problems with them. But now, see some progress on the kit

And here's todays progress:

And all together:

I still forgetting to glue rudder pedals on

Best regards!

Agreed! Looking forward to seeing it come together.
Btw, those are the kit-supplied PE seatbelts, right? What's your secret to getting them look so natural?

Here's a view of the running dog emblem designed by Lt. Richard Marchfelder.

As you can see, it is not just white outline only in this photo.

Looks like you're off to a great start! Your 109 should look good with the dog on the nose
