Hi gang, be gentle this is my first ever 109 build.
Yes the scheme is from a later Gustav, but I prefer the Friedrich and loved this scheme.
Kit has Radu's amazing belts, Master MG barrels and Brass tube Canon Barrels. Markings are from Eagle Cals.
I made the exhaust flash shield from soda can and made the whistles from some electronics connections I folded up.
Paints are model master applied via rattle can with a few washes for grime and some colored pencils for accent.

Shawn excellent work, a great model. How in the world did you do the camouflage without an airbrush? Russell

Squiggles with spray can? Wow. Great job. How did you pull that off?

thanks gang!
I used poster putty rolled into "snakes" for the squiggles. Then light perpendicular passes from the rattle can to feather the edges.

Wow, I would never of thought of that, better than I could do with a rattle can, that is for sure. Good work once again. Russell

I've been wanting to push my rattle can skills and the german soft edge camo's were the trick.

Nice looking 109, and very creative on the use of a spray-bomb to do the camo!

thanks Doug.
I keep toying with the idea of getting an airbrush. But I like the fact not having one makes me get creative with solutions to make feathered edges, soot stains etc.
