Hello fellow modellers of the winged things,
I´m hoping to start a group build over on Armorama which will involve the use of war maschines that were captured and turned against their former owners, here´s a couple of examples:
Tiran Series
Shermans with the Germans
Messerschmidts in the RAF
Spitfires and Hurricans in the Luftwaffe
Panther Tanks in US and French service
Russian equip. in the Wehrmacht
and so on and on.....
Anything this side of 1900 which was captured and used against it´s former owners can be entered. The campaign is not yet official as we are only 9 at the moment. Any takers
please go to Armorama / Campiagns page 2, there you find the thread.
Dates are not yet fixed, but I´m looking June 2013 to March 2014
Cheers Paul

This might be very interesting. Would you consider enemy equipment captured at the end of the war and tested by the victors? I have in mind one of several Do-335s that were given roundels and flown by the RAF as seen near the bottom of this page.

Hi Jessica,
I´ve had this question on the thread over on Armorama,
yes it´s o.k. What wont go is Swiss BF109´s going against
Luftwaffe 109`s because they were purchsed items.

Cheers Paul
