Wouldn't you know it, I'm almost finished with a Hasegawa F-102A and a new tool comes out.

Close, but no cigar.
I'll be finishing it (I hope) on the Hanger Queens 2 campaign.

Mark your 102 looks very good from here. I hope to start building some more jets. I tend to focus on aircraft from the late 1930's to the late 1950's. The 102 is one of my favorites.
I look forward to seeing your build finished. What color did you use for the gray? I think I will be using aircraft gray which has a slight gloss to it, of course the real aircraft paint job did too. Take care, Russell

I'll have to check the bottle, but it was a Testor's Model Master ADC gray in gloss.

WOO, WOO! Finally a new F-102. Wish it was 1/48 but 1/72 will do. Now, I woner who will carry the kit and how much? Well, don't really care "how much"-- I'll be ordering several. Bring on the Six! Woo, woo!

Well, I can't track my path back exactly. Cybermodeler sent me in the direction of FS 16473, but they crossed it to Testors 2086 RLM76 Lichtblau. IPMS Stockholm crosses FS 16473 to Testors 1731 Aircraft Gray. I went with the Aircraft Gray. It is glossy, even if I shot it or painted it a bit off. I haven't found a direct Air Defense Command Gray to FS lately.

Alright, a new Dagger! Convair sure built some beauties and certainly got it right with the Dart -- the jet I wanted to fly if I couldn't get the F-15.
Mark, are you going to build Steve Canyon's F-102?

Well, if this was his ride, yes.
I've got an OLD Microscale sheet with one of these 317 FIS birds on it.

Model Master 1731 is 16473 is Aircraft grey is ADC grey. It's the same colour, renamed. A lot of USAF aircraft got painted in ADC grey in the early '60s as a corrosion control measure so the colour was renamed to Aircraft grey. You're absolutely correct to use it for your Duce.

Yea, the printing is a bit smudged on the bottle but it says "Aircraft Gray 16473"
