If Zvezda's La-5FN is any guide, this should be the best 1/48th WWII Yak ever released, as the previous Yak benchmark, the Modelsvit Yak-1b, is not without small (but manageable) problems...
The Eduard Yak-3 had a too tall canopy and too upright windscreen, but worst of all, like the AM Yak-1, its fuselage tapered in plan view, this in a continuous manner, from firewall to tail. It is highly unlikely that this kit will display the same mistakes: The fuselage taper should be there but very slight, until at least mid-tail, when it suddenly sharpens towards the fin.

Looks very detailed in the engine, and it will all probably fit beautifully under the cowls despite this, again judging from their equally detailed La-5FN and Me-109F...
