Hi all

Here are some simple templates to print off for jigs to simplify aligning kit and aftermarker propellers that come with individual blades. Just place the propeller hub or spinner in the centre and align the tip of each blade with the radiating lines.

3-Blade:

4-Blade:

5-Blade:

To set the pitch, cut small matching wedges from a piece of styrene or wood and position one about half-way along the leading edge of each blade (make sure you check which way the propeller rotates...).

I hope these are useful.

All the best

thanks, that a nice tool.
I wish I had thought of it. Anigrand prop planes all have props like that, and they they are not easy to get exactly right!

Here's my home brew jig:

Blade angle on most props is adjustable, so don't sweat the exact angle. It's important that all the blades match, and a simple jig like this is a guarantee.

Cheers!

Cheers Chuck

Very neat! Combine the two, and who needs to spend money on fancy propeller jigs?...

All the best
