Hello,
I started my first ever aircraft build:
Work started on the fuselage halves:
Some cockpit sub assemblies:
Pilots console and seat:
The dashboard, i will finish this later after painting with the Eduard pre colored etch:
I modified the plastic foot pedals to accept the pe parts:
And everything in place except the pilots seat.
I will install him after painting:
That is all for now.
Tomorrow i start painting the cockpit parts.

So far no trouble at all.

Hello,
A bit more work done today.
In between painting the cockpit area, i also assembled the engine.
Great part fit all over.
As i dont plan to show the engine, i will just paint it flat black, and install it.
More pictures in a few days, when the engine and cockpit are completly painted.

I have admired Eduard's Bf 109 from afar, after hearing frustrating stories with their Fw 190. Thus I will look closely at your build to see if I should add it to the growing pile of kits to build. Thanks. eye catching work so far.

Trevor,
I know i am still early in the build, but so far everything really falls together well.
Just a few moments ago i dryfitted the engine to the fuselage halves and the fit seems to be great all around.
I keep u updated.

Hello,
Today i started painting the cockpit area and added the colored pe parts:
The fuselage halves:
Pilot seat:
For the engine, i just used some German grey.
I used Brett Greens build on hyperscale as a painting guide.
Tomorrow i will finish the cockpit painting with a pin wash to pick out some details.

Great progress, my only comment would the be cockpit color looks a little light, I could be wrong, but I believe the color should be closure to RLM66 - Dark Grey.

Kevin,
I used the color as stated on Eduards instruction sheet.
It says RLM 02 Gray.
I used Modelmaster RLM 02 Grau as base color.

Luftwaffe interior color for fighter aircraft circa-1940 would indeed be RLM 02. The change to RLM 66 did not occur until 1941 in Luftwaffe fighter aircraft. Just FYi

Hello,
Another small update.
I picked out the panel lines on the cockpit area.
Here some pics:
For me, i am satisfied with the result.
I will let this dry overnight, then continue on with the build.

Hello,
I forgot this picture.
It is of the engine fitted to the fuselage halve.
Fit is so good, no glue is required.

That's looking very nice indeed.
I don't know whether you've got to the engine bearers or not but they should be RLM 02 as well.

Steve,
I know they need to be gray as well. But as i will close up the engine bay, i does not matter to me.
Anyway thanks for stopping by and nice pic.
